JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Oh, here comes another F-18 taking off! The sound is deafening!

Riding behind Ironworks Gym, we can see the boats & canoes that are available.

Stan's in front of me heading toward the Monzen Bridge, as we ride along the seawall.

Just before we leave the seawall for our last turn of the circle around the base, I see a ladder half-buried in the sand below us. It's really a beautiful day & we've enjoyed our leisurely ride.

Continuing our huge circle, we stopped at the Exchange and Commissary for a few things & then on home to our northside mid-rise. We're finally back home -- full perimeter road is 5.5 miles, but we also pedalled out to the dock & back, adding another mile or so. And I can still walk! Whoo-hoo!
From our BR balcony, I can see a huge ship still docked out in the harbor next to our "floating island." The color of the water is so intense this time of the late afternoon.
