On the local train back to Iwakuni. When we got to Otake (a couple of stops before ours), my chigerie friend Miyako & her husband stood up to leave. I guess we've been here a while, when we can run into friends outside the base . . .

Back at Iwakuni Station, we saw this cute sign on the door of a restaurant we've never tried. On the door it says, "Please use it willingly" -- not sure what that means, but it caught our attention to see what they served.

Yum -- Santa's plastic food outside the restaurant looks good & we've not quite had enough oysters today . . .
