Japan Adventure

We saw this older woman working in her rice field, so we decided to stop. I asked if I could take her picture, so she stood up & posed for me.


But I also wanted to see her working, so I waited until she started work again. Look how far she bends down to hand-cut each handful of rice stalks! I have to wonder how many years she's been doing this.
