JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! The Japanese man running this booth is Matt's Sensei and he makes these beautiful pottery pieces. Many feature the Kintai Bridge on them. I would love to have one, but they're quite expensive. Of course, each one is a unique work of art . . .

Ingrid was helping out Akai (The Van Man) and his regular helper Yoko, at his booth.

So, of course I bought a few things, & after we got home I took pictures so you could see my treasures (well, not all, because we did get some presents). I love this set of 3 bamboo trays -- and one can never have too many serving trays, right?
