JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Flat Stanley Visits the Kintai Bridge in Iwakuni! 3/5

Flat Stanley is very excited. We're in our car, stopped at a train track for a bright pink local train to pass. It is painted to represent cherry blossoms, which will be soon blooming all over Japan.

Flat Stanley likes this very small backhoe.

On our way to the Kintai Bridge area, we pass this steep set of stairs that lead to a shrine. FS did not want to walk up all those stairs, so we kept going. Can you see all the trimmed trees along the street? We call them "Dr Seuss trees."
