JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Our chef carved our duck at the table. Before it arrived, our server asked Stan if he wanted it "sliced" or "in strips" & Stan answered that he preferred it stripped. To which our server replied, "It better sliced -- you get sliced!" OK, then . . . it was sliced. It really wasn't very big, and Stan was disappointed when the chef cut only the breast & then whisked the carcass away before he could ask for the drumsticks! This was, however, by far the best meal we had in Beijing. fa ra ra ra ra . . .

Rachel & I each had a giant breaded shrimp with (of course!) duck sauce, and the soup was delicious as well!
