JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! After enjoying the doll display, we met up with Ingrid, Shoko & her friend, Matsuko to go to lunch. Here's Miyako & Shoko -- we're back on the trolley downtown, headed for our lunch destination.

Looking down the middle of Hiroshima's wide streets, where the trolley runs down the middle.

Shoko has brought us to a teppanyaki style (benihana) restaurant very high in a very beautiful hotel. (Teppan meaning "steel grill" and yaki meaning "broiled"). A server ties bibs around Matsuko & Ingrid's necks -- not because they're messy, but because the grill "might" splatter our clothes while our chef prepares our meal.
