Santa-san Debuts New Santa Suit 12/17

It's Saturday night & we're leaving the house to go to Hiroshima. Stan's carrying his new Santa suit in a shopping bag.

Arriving at Hiroshima Station - Santa suit or no Santa suit - people still think he's Santa!

Walking around Hondori Street shopping area we found a VERY embarrassed Santa dog.

Friend Megan standing with Lego Man at Andersen's after dinner.

Outside Andersen's Stan is posing for photos after changing into his Santa suit. He was getting a LOT of attention - and he loves it! Megan looks like she's beginning to wonder if he really IS the real Santa . . . ?

Waiting for the streetcar in the middle of the road & looking at the entrance to Hondori shopping street entrance.

Oh - there's the decorated Santa Streetcar - beautiful!

We're at Hiroshima's "Dreamination" - fabulous lights display. This is one of our favorite things to do this time of year. Read more about this light show RIGHT HERE.

Stan sat down on a low retaining wall and it didn't take long for a crowd to gather. Stan said each person asked permission to take a photo. Yes -of course! This is why we came. Then they quietly and patiently lined themselves up to wait their turn with Santa.

We arrived about 8 PM & the crowds were constant until about 10. It was VERY cold, but we were dressed warmly.

Girls posing with Santa.

And a fur-covered baby.

Stan said this baby on his mother's back, just stared and stared, but was not afraid.

And after walking around to see all the lights, Megan and her parents have returned, so she can also pose with Santa!

People even brought their pets to pose - YIKES!

Yep - it's a raccoon on a leash!

Cecelia & Tommy (Megan's parents) on the train bound for Iwakuni. Megan was sitting with me - she's my buddy and I appreciate them sharing her with me!
