This little girl's hat represents the mascot we saw dancing on field earlier.
This generous boy in our American group (@75 of us) took a large bag of candy down to the fence to share with other children. Nice job!!!

Hiroshima Carps were begun in 1950 - that's just 5 years after Hiroshima City was vaporized by the atomic bomb ending WWII. For more info, click HERE
You're supposed to buy a long red Carps balloon so you can participate in the uh, Balloon Event . . . But when fully inflated, it turns bright pink. I LOVE the artistic rendition of the carp spelling out "Hiroshima" on these balloons. This is the equivalent of the 7th inning stretch, I think.
