JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Back out on the street, I found one of Yanai's Goldfish sewer covers, but not painted - just natural.

More beautiful buildings in the White Wall area of Yanai City.

Stan - we pretty much had this area all to ourselves today.

Shrine & stone lanterns near the river.

Biking over the river on the main street of Yanai City. This is where the Goldfish Festival is held every August.

Very large weeping willow as we bike back to our car.

Driving along Hwy 188 from Yanai. That's the Oshima Island Bridge ahead.

I love this drive along the Seto Inland Sea!

Back in Iwakuni, there's a police car in front of us. They always drive along with lights flashing. Good reminder to be safe.

Gorgeous sunset sky over the river. Always good to be home.
