That guy looks comfortable!
Riding along the sidewalk next to the river, deciding where we want to set up "camp."
I love this view!
We walked down under the bridge, but it's too rocky here to ride our bikes, so we'll go back to the other side.
And we found the perfect spot for our chairs. Stan spread out the Mexican serape in front, so he could take an afternoon nap later. It's about 2 PM now.
That's Stan walking under the bridge in the river. He's trying to decide if we can walk across to the other side. Nope - not very deep here, but deeper & too much current for us in the middle . . . he did enjoy the cool water though!
Little children enjoying the cool water too.
We've cooled down from our ride & now we're hungry, so we decided to walk up the stone steps to the area where the restaurants & ice cream shops are. So - what's for lunch? Let's start with famous Iwakuni sushi . . .
And fresh burgers? We ordered two and then found out . . .
. . . they are made with spam & a fried egg! OK, that sounds interesting . . . He told us they were "Waikiki-style." I knew that spam was popular in Hawaii, so this will be our first.
