JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Serious drummer Tanya.

I didn't have a great view, but Tanya was really having fun here! You go girl! SOOO glad she told us about this festival! WATCH THIS SHORT VIDEO . . .

This baby was completely content & relaxed in spite of the loud drums. Amazing!

Biking on the sidewalk under the arch-covered sidewalks in downtown Iwakuni, we pass Monte Beer as we head for home.

At 9 PM EXACTLY - the brighter overhead archway lights went off & the fewer, dimmer ones came on. Everyone in Japan is conserving electricity. And it's time everyone headed home! Stan & I have been talking recently about how nice it is to NOT live in a 24/7 society . . .

Biking toward the trolley crossing on 188.

Full moon hiding behind clouds as we ride across the pedestrian bridge on our shortcut.

Oh - there it is! Beautiful!!!

Back on MCAS Iwakuni just inside the main gate. It's about 9:30 - we had a GREAT time & we're both headed for a cool shower . . .
