Two comb-like tools are used to perfectly fold this sweet bean cake. Meanwhile, the cook surface is still VERY hot & the cake is still cooking.
The chef uses a small board to press it flatter.
Now it's removed from the heat & cut by hand. Yum! Our patience paid off - he gave us a fresh, warm sample!
Back outside this corner shop looking toward the Tsuwano Catholic Church, built in 1892. In 1931 it burned down, but was rebuilt the following year. On previous trips, I've shows views of the inside.
We've decided to ride up & back on the riverwalk one more time before we leave. I found a small girl (with family nearby) playing near the stone bridge, with yellow canola flowers in bloom.
