Appetizer plate arrives. From top clockwise: quiche, steamed shrimp on a lemon slice, ripe honeydew melon wrapped in a smoked salmon slice & tamago yaki (rolled egg omelet). Yum! Decorated with a mint sprig which I will take home to root.


My date for the evening - no it's not Santa - just Stan still waiting for the next "Hige (moustache) Contest" in May. He's drinking Scotch from the wide variety behind him.


Hot homemade bread made by the owner - just one of her specialties.


And steaming corn soup with shallots, croutons & cream for decoration.


Salad Course: Delicious fresh veggies with a twisted lemon slice, more smoked salmon and peeled tomatoes. Probably all grown very nearby.
