JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! That's Stan heading down the sidewalk to the river, but I'm waiting at the top.

He wanted me to tell you that he rode down & back up, but he actually pushed his bike! Look at the beautiful fitted stonework along the bank of the river.

Riding along the riverside. There's no traffic here and it's very peaceful and quiet - just the sound of water . . .

Those huge flowers that I don't know the name of in someone's yard.

Still riding along the river as we head back toward town. We can hear a louder gurgle of the water here.

Margie - I believe those flowers are angel's trumpet. My neighbor has some and when they bloom she makes us come over and look. :)
