It's the morning after Thanksgiving and we're having traditional Japanese breakfast in our hotel. I have miso soup with tofu, and my plate holds a boiled egg, pears, fish and several kinds of vegetables & pickles. And of course coffee.
The breakfast buffet had many choices of tastes, textures and colors.
The jars below held all kinds of pickles. The Japanese like to pickle everything!
Outside, the fog is starting to lift as the sun rises over the mountain behind us. When we first woke up, it was completely white outside our window - we could not see anything!
