JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Walking across a river bridge looking at the steam train bridge. We had a "5 min walk" from the small train station to the farm where we will pick our apples.

The apple tree farm is just past this house.

Crossing over the steam train's tracks as we walk toward the farm. Stan was intrigued that the crossties are wood. All the other tracks we travel in Japan are made with cement ties . . .

Walking past a small cemetery that backs up to the apple trees.
