Heavy traffic has really slowed us down. Ever since the Prime Minister reduced the expressway fees to only 1000 yen on weekends, it's more crowded with automobile travelers.

This rest area features sweet potatoes, which are famous in this area of Japan.


Food booth outside where we had dinner. Pork wrapped rice ball. Delicious!


And this booth is selling delicious sweet potato fries - WAY less guilt than regular potato fries!
