JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Water (ALL the water we want!), white wine (more than I need!) and yes, those are heated nuts (and warm refills) . . .

Salad and grilled shrimp appetizers have arrived. The butter is softening while waiting for my warm bread to arrive. And cloth napkins! (I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Business Class!) Stan thinks it's because of the seats, but for me, it's all about the FOOD!

Warm bread joins my softened sakura (cherry) blossom-shaped pats of butter. And a real knife. Last time we flew Business, we had real silverware except for the knife, which was plastic . . . (so I was careful not to threaten anyone with it!)

A perfectly grilled filet mignon, garlic mashed potatoes & steamed asparagus. We both chose this option (there were other choices). This is Stan's - you can tell because he had red wine, but I had white . . .

And cheese & grapes were my dessert. I don't remember what Stan had though.
