Stopping for lunch at Mel's Diner in historic Boulder City. This town sprang up during the building of the fabulous Hoover/Boulder Dam project in the 1930s. Plenty of seating outside, but it's way too hot, so we're going in.
Classic cafe style decor & photo of original restaurant on the wall. Sure hasn't changed much.
Sorry - no food pics, but I think I had a classic BLT & Stan had classic HB. Yummy & delicious!
Driving into Las Vegas - the sky is very hazy today . . . this happens during the summer when it's VERY hot (it's probably at least 112 degrees F here today).
