JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Cute & colorful lotus tractor parked under traffic mirrors just outside the Monzen Gate.

Lotus harvest has begun on some fields. Just about every part of the lotus is utilized & Iwakuni is famous all over Japan for theirs.

We've only been back in Japan for a few days, so Stan & I are shopping at Vesta today. It will be good to stock up on healthy & seasonal Japanese seafood, fruits & veggies again!

Gorgeous & perfect (but very expensive!) peaches. That's 2 for 780 yen (about $9). But they are huge & every bite is ripe.
