JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! When we got to our teppanyaki table, we found out our chef was a former Marine, who was born in Japan (small world!) but grew up in the US.

Heather and Margie enjoying sushi . . . I can't get the color right on either of us no matter how I adjust it, but I thought it was a pretty good picture otherwise.

Stan sits under Osaka - the name of the restaurant where we were eating.

Turns out our chef was also a performer, and sang the whole time he was cooking for us! (Well, after all it IS Vegas . . .)

Interesting couple that we talked to while we ate. He & Stan were comparing moustaches! Their granddaughter is half-Japanese, and was just adorable!
