Driving under the low tunnel - our shortcut back to the Monzen gate from Hwy 188. This is of course a two-lane road.

Driving on the back road that cuts through flooded lotus fields. In the distance, you can see the mid-rise buildings on base. This is a nice shortcut that avoids all the traffic on Hwy 188.

Back home, I've spread out my treasure from the sea - sea glass & sea pottery, all sanded smooth from the waves along the Seto Inland Sea . . .

Closer view of an old porcelain insulator, one perfect tiny starfish, and a few small shells. My gifts from the sea!
