JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Around Iwakuni

It's Stan's spring break, but the weather's cool and mostly rainy, so we're staying around town this year. Look at this new house with solar panels on the roof. You may notice that there's a business sign close next door. That's because there's no zoning here & building lots are expensive and small. Many people also live above their business, which I think would be very cool!

Pink tulip tree in someone's yard.

Not much traffic today, but plenty of arrows to keep us on the correct side of the road!

The tide is REALLY out right now, as we drive over a river. And that's a long train - very unusual.

Stan thought maybe they were new sleeper cars being delivered somewhere.
