This was our tour guide for this night ride. He gave a lot of information which unfortunately, we didn't understand a word of, but it was a very nice ride anyway.

We rode pretty close, but the tide was out, so although the gate was not floating tonight, it was still very beautiful from this perspective. Here's a photo I found on the hotel website - much better than the ones I shot! In this one, the tide is in so the gate is "floating" and the reflection is better.
Looking into the bridge of our boat. I think the little white hanging thingys in the doorway are prayers, tied by the captain to give us good luck.
Looks like this boat is rated to hold 52 - 50 passengers & 2 crew - I'm guessing small Japanese people since the total weight is 3570 kg. I'm glad we're not that many tonight, because we could walk from side to side to take photos.
