JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! KODO! - Taiko Drum Performance

We're on our way to Hiroshima to see a live performance on this rainy early December night. "Using the traditional Japanese taiko drum, Kodo (a very famous Japanese group that performs worldwide) continues to explore new musical directions, finding ever expanding possibilities in these ancient instruments." View from the bus as we cross a bridge in Iwakuni.

Passing the Iwakuni Sinfonia, where we've attended several concerts, but we're heading for Hiroshima tonight.

Winter has been unusually warm up until now, and these trees are confused -- can you see the small blossoms?

It's raining harder now as our buses (we're on Bus #2, and Bus #1 is in front of us) enter the expessway.

Beautiful autumn leaves on a hillside.
