JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Crossing a river in Hiroshima. It's not raining as hard right now.

Looking up at a Christian church? on a major street in Hiroshima as we head toward the castle parking lot. We were supposed to be dropped off at Peace Park so we could walk around & look at Christmas lights, but the heavy rains changed our plans.

From the window of the bus, Stan pointed out this solar panel, which fuels the street light nearby.

After a couple of blocks' walk (thank goodness we had our umbrellas!) from the Hiroshima Castle parking lot, we arrive at the Pacela Mall, where we have just enough time for a leisurely dinner & walk back to the bus in time for our concert.

This city mall is a work of art! We've never been here before, even though it's only a couple of blocks off of the trolley line.
