Didn't expect to see Wal-Mart grocery bags here. In Japan nearly everyone brings or buys reusable bags for shopping.


That's Nancy out by the car in the parking deck -- we're parked on the very top level.

In the car, Stan shows me his certificate & prize money -- 30,000 yen -- that's about $300! I had no idea there was prize money involved! First place won $1000, and second won $500. No wonder there was such a good turnout of generally shy Japanese men! If we're still in Japan next year, we'll be sure to return & hopefully Stan can let his "bike handles" grow even longer . . .
