This is Stan's yaki (grilled) flounder set. He's had this before & loved it.


Look how beautiful this delicious egg custard is decorated. The flower is formed from pink fish paste, I think. It's shape represents ume -- plum, since it's officially Plum Season in this part of Japan. We're were admiring Eldon & Stan's custards, and our waiter brought Nancy and me each one for a "present." How thoughtful . . .

Looking into part of the open kitchen. I love that you can almost always see everything that goes on in the kitchen in Japanese restaurants. Fresh seafood await their fate in the tanks.
