JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Sure wouldn't want to be on the "Unlucky" bus . . .

Last glimpse of Sasebo harbor. I think those belong to the Japanese Navy.

I love the way Sasebo is built up on the hillsides.

At the junction ahead, we could go toward downtown Sasebo, or Arita (where the famous china is made), or further south to Nagasaki, but we're going to press on north, back toward Iwakuni.

This area can be VERY windy, so we need to pay attention to the windsocks ahead.
