It's that time again: FETC (Far East Technology Conference) where ETs (Educational Technologists-- what Stan is) & ISs (Information Specialist -- Librarians-- what Jake is) meet together near Tokyo. We used to have several of these every year, but the Wars have drastically cut educational funding in recent years. I like to tag along & just hang out & also to do some shopping at a bigger base.
So, it's a beautiful autumn Monday morning in Iwakuni as we drive toward the shinkansen station. Look at those clouds hanging around. This phenomenon only happens when the air starts to get cooler.
We've parked our little blue "box" in the parking lot across from the station, and we see some children walking to school with their heavy leather backpacks & bright yellow caps.
