JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! We're on the train from Hiroshima to Tokyo now. That's Jake in the cap in front of Stan. He had a Japanese friend write a note to the ticket agent in Japanese, asking for the front row -- more legroom. (good idea!) Computer geeks usually plug in their computers as soon as they get on these trains.

But Margie prefers to just sip coffee & relax! Shinkansen trains are SO comfortable . . .

Little green arrows on the right side of the digital sign tells us on which side the doors are going to open. How nice. This is a big train -- we're in Car #13 - a non-smoking reserved-seat car.
