Scary Saturday Drive!

We've headed along the seacoast today toward Hiroshima. Just past Miyajima, we head off onto Hwy 433 & into the mountains. This is a road we've never taken before, but our map shows it as a nice, red highway.


Beautiful, ripe rice ready to harvest along the highway.


Only about 1.5 hours later of driving up and up and up, we reach the summit & stop for a couple of pictures. That's the Seto Inland Sea & probably Miyajima Island beyond.


What a view! But we couldn't stop too long because the road was pretty narrow & as soon as someone else came up behind us, we had to move on.
