JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Kirin was the beer on tap tonight.

Decor in this restaurant. Beer labels?

Gyoza-makers at work.

All are made with wrappers & pork, then a choice of what's inside. Gyoza (dumplings) are actually Chinese cuisine and are fried on one side only.

I love this week's installment, but especially the gyoza nazi and the behind the scenes look at the gyoza-making. And the karaoke box. Is that your own little party cubicle? I have heard about Tokyo's tiny clubs and restaurants - I love the minimalist/smallness factor. Looks like you guys are having fun! :)
