JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Closer view of some of these bento-style meals.

But I prefer the fresh produce department.

Look at these gorgeous peaches!

Love the grocery store documentation! And look at that sake aisle! Wowza! Such a variety!

Now tell me, as I have already looked at the exchange rate: how much is that 2-pack of peaches - is that 1 pack for 398 or a pack for 1,398? (I am trying to imagine either, as it is very expensive, comparatively speaking. You could get a basket of peaches here for $3.98 in summer and probably a bushel for $13.98!)

(Thanks for humoring me. I can't stay away from your blog, apparently.)
