JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Off to Hikari Flea Market

Now that we have a car again (hooray!) Stan & I can go to Hikari Flea Market, so on this 4th Sunday in August, off we go! But first, we have to fill the tank.

Gas on base is $4.53 per gallon, but it doesn't take much to fill our tank. The pump is provided by a Japanese fuel company. The bottom number is the price per liter. The middle number is the number of liters. The top number is the total price. The piece of yellow tape at the bottom is to let us know how much per gallon we are paying even though the pump price is in liters. Confused? I am . . .

It's a bright beautiful day as we drive over the Monzen Bridge, and the Inland Sea is very blue.
