JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Laundry drying on an upstairs balcony. We've stopped at a spotlessly-clean 7-11 for a potty & coffee break.

Stan thinks these weights are here to hold the powerlines tight, & allow the trains to pass under.

Driving along the rocky shoreline. Although the seawall is lower here, we saw lots of areas where the seawalls have been built higher since last year. Blocks the view, but protects homes & streets from storms.
