Hallway by the elevator on our floor -- the 9th floor.


Beautiful sunset over the Sea of Japan from the elevator.


I've never seen a sign in a U S elevator refer to earthquakes . . . but we did actually feel one on Saturday night at the other hotel. It didn't last long, but it shook the windows very hard in our hotel for several seconds. (When we got home, we found out it was a 4.4 quake centered near Obama -- 4.4 out of 7 on the Japanese earthquake scale.) Yikes!
