JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! We have a nice view from this upstairs room. Before each class, we open the drapes, and set up the tables & chairs. At the end of class, we put them away, vacuum the floor, and close the drapes.

I'm nearly finished with my latest piece -- a white mouse in front of a beet. This is the Year of the Mouse in Japan.

View of the new road we've watched being built during class from our great vantage point. It connects with the new bridge that Stan & I have ridden our bikes by, when we visited the shrine & hotel a few weeks ago.

Ingrid usually parks her blue car (above) in front of this woman's house, near the community center where our chigerie class is. Today, she invited us in to see her beautiful artwork. Her home is new -- we also watched it being built during the years we've been taking our classes here.
