JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! And although I REALLY don't need more plants, they're so affordable (cheap!) at the Bazaar, AND they look so great on my balconies, so I bought the short palm (outside in the brown pot) and the aloe vera (inside in the white pot).

. . . and a pot of pansies for the BR balcony. I inherited the tall palm last year when the Blanchards left (we still miss them!) for Yokota near Tokyo. Well, some day all of mine will be passed on to someone else, but I'll definitely keep some of the pots . . .

Closer view of the pansies -- yellow & pink faces.

Speaking of pansies: Don't remember if I've shown you the pansies that I planted last year outside our building under a big tree. They've done so well -- even better than the ones on my balcony, so I added a few more a couple of months ago. Of course, when it gets very hot, they will be gone, but maybe we can get something else to grow during the summer. Just makes our front entrance a little more cheerful & homey . . .
