JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Flat Stanley Visits Stan's School -- M C Perry HS 3/4/08

Flat Stanley poses with this beautiful geisha doll and a good luck crane, that's made with many pieces of origami (say "oar-ree-gah-mee") which is the ancient art of folding paper. Read about making your own origami here: http://www.paperfolding.com/

FS poses inside this Samurai (say, "sam-oord-eye") costume. Does he look scary? Perry School mascot is the Samurai Warrior. Read more about Samurai Warriors here: http://www.indiana.edu/~ealc100/Group13/culture.html

FS joins these students in the library.
