JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Gate going into Wat Po. Inside is where the famous golden Reclining Buddha resides, along with many beautiful buildings. The red, white & blue flag is Thailand's flag, and the yellow one is for the King. The present king is a direct descendent of the King of Siam, featured in the "King and I."

This statue reminded me a little of Kipp . . . in a good way, of course!

Only foreign visitors had to pay to get in.
