JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! Some of the street shops near the entrance to the Great Wall

This big shop is where we could potty. As big as this tourist attraction is, there was really no public restroom -- & this one was pretty bad.

Typical Chinese toilet. There was 1 "sit-down" potty, but the seat looked like a child-size & was just "balanced" on top of the raised stool. Gee, wonder why I didn't get a picture . . . It was pretty primitive, but at least I didn't have to squat down to the floor & then attempt to get back up! Although there is a toilet paper holder, we never found any TP anywhere in Beijing except for our hotel.
