JAPAN ADVENTURE

Welcome to Margie & Stan's Japan Adventure - our photo blog while living on MCAS Iwakuni in beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture in Western Japan from 8/2004 to present. My photo above is the famous Kintai Bridge right here in Iwakuni. Be sure to check out Blog Archive (below left) for highlights of our travels. And leave us a comment - we'd love to hear from you! We're waiting for the trolley at Miyajima's Fuji Grand station. Notice the pink flower tiles on the platform.

The trolley curves around as we get to downtown Hiroshima.

Directly above the white car, you can see the skeleton outline of the Peace Dome -- the only structure in this Ground Zero area which survived the nuclear bomb of 1945. Surrounding it is Peace Park, which is dedicated to world peace, and an end to nuclear weapons.
