Well, it's March 6 in Japan and we're out to dinner with Pam & Jake for Margie's birthday. My appetizer plate included prosciutto, salmon, quiche, & shrimp cake. Bluebird tends toward French cuisine & everything is always perfect & delicious.
Oops, a little blurry, but this is a "Bluebird original" shrimp course -- whole shrimp encased in a puffed pastry & delicate sauce. The head and tail are actually separated from the body, but baked in for decoration. We also had a creamy spinach soup course that was also beautiful and delicious! After our warm weekend, the weather turned very cold again, so this was all comfort food!
My seafood entree of shrimp, scallop, and white fish fillet, all sitting on a small mound of cooked spinach & whipped potato with a creamy, cheesy sauce. Stan had the steak choice, but no picture -- sorry. Everything was so yummy, and very filling. Our server also kept bringing hot, homemade bread.
