Miyajima Trip with Pam & Jake

This is the last day of Stan's Christmas vacation, and we've been waiting for sunny weather so we can return to Miyajima Island. It's partly cloudy & cold today, but not raining, so we're going anyway. We'll eat a few oysters (well, maybe more than a few!) and show the sights to Pam & Jake, since they have not yet been there.

At the Iwakuni Station, a cute mother & daughter are waiting for the same train we are.















These 3 uniformed JR employees are cleaning up anything that may have fallen onto the tracks. The sign tells us we're on Track 4 this morning.
















We've learned that there's always an express train about 40 minutes after each hour leaving from Iwakuni, so we try to catch that one when we can. As you can see, it's almost time. It will arrive exactly on time and leave about 1 minute later, so we must be ready to board.
