A closeup shows that this sign has kanji characters, 2007, and a picture of a Wild Boar, the animal for 2007. It was illuminated by fireworks, so it only burned a short time. There was also a brief fireworks show following, but they never show up very well in my photos. It was a very interesting and delightful outing, and we're hungry for sushi -- so off we go!
