This plaque with photo, outside of Andersen's store, shows that this was once the Hiroshima Branch of the Teikoku Bank, built in 1925. It was approximately 360 meters (just under 400 yards) from the hypocenter of the bomb, and was one of the few that survived. Posted by Picasa
