On this side of the base, there's just a fence and a "moat" separating us from Japan. At the bottom of the chain-link fence, there's a short plexiglass fence that was installed to keep American black widow spiders from escaping into Japan. (really!) I've never seen a spider here -- inside or outside the fence. Posted by Picasa
