Back on the road toward home. This is about as busy as we've ever seen the Japanese tollroads. It's "Golden Week" during which time most Japanese people are on vacation. It is a very busy travel time in Japan.

Stan has "one for the road" -- actually, it's very strong black coffee so he can stay awake at least 2 more hours until we reach Iwakuni. 

The "Old Farts" Softball Team Wins!

Recognize the catcher, all decked out in red, white & blue? Stan's a substitute on the school adult intermural team, the Samurai, which is the same name as the school mascot. They are generally referred to as the "Old Farts" team. He's having fun & doing well so he's been playing several evenings a week. The teams are comprised of other departments or groups on base. This night they were playing some young, and very well-toned hut-hut guys.
